Tacotopia – Event Branding & Art Direction
Tacotopia was a “Best Taco in San Diego” competition held at Golden Hill Park, bringing together more than 30 of the city’s top taco vendors for a day of food, competition, and community.
I developed the complete visual identity for the event, including the logo, custom characters, and overall creative direction. I carried the brand across the full marketing campaign, creating print advertisements, citywide billboards, online banner ads, website skins, and social media advertising.
Beyond the promotional work, I also designed the event layout and vendor map, organizing the placement of more than 30 taco vendors and creating maps and informational materials to help guests navigate the event. I developed the event signage, printed materials, marketing paperwork, and other visual elements needed to bring the experience together.
The project combined branding, illustration, advertising, environmental design, and event planning to create a cohesive visual experience from the first promotional ad through the event itself.
